Highlands Haven

Highlands Haven exists to share the love of Christ with children and families affected by disability. We are committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment that allows all members access to worship, ministry and fellowship with one another.

Family Members and caregivers can be assured that every Highlands Haven member receives the extra assistance, encouragement and support that each may need. We believe our Father cares deeply about of of His children and created each for a purpose in His image. The Highlands Haven staff and Dream Team are passionate about this ministry and dedicated to guiding everyone to reach their full, God-given potential.

Goals

  • Provide individualized attention according to each child's specific needs
  • Successfully integrate every Highlands Have member into age-appropriate classroom or environment
  • Enable the families affected by disability to engage in church as a whole family

Age Groups

Birth to 5th Grade

The goal of our weekend and Wednesday night experiences for this age range is integration, enabling each child to actively participate in his or her age-appropriate classroom with the right level of assistance from a Highlands Haven Dream Team member.

6th Grade to 12th Grade

Our focus in this age group is primarily Wednesday nights at SWITCH. In this youthful environment, we are careful to recognize social sensitivities and can design a specific plan within this peer group. We want your student to actively participate in the SWITCH worship experience and are there to facilitate individual support.

Participation

Our goal is to actively engage parents in the process of providing for your child. All we ask in that each family completes an application, which is available at the Highlands Preschool check-in kiosks. You may also download an application (PDF). A member of the Highlands Haven Dream Team will contact you after receiving the completed application.

We look forward to meeting your whole family and watching what the Lord is going to do through your child.
