Q: Will childcare be provided?
A:

Childcare will not be provided at the Church. However, you may submit a Childcare Reimbursement form and be reimbursed for childcare expenses. Childcare Reimbursement forms are available at the Information Center, or you may pick up one during the conference.

Q: What should I bring?
A:

We encourage you to bring a Bible, a notebook, and a pen.

Q: What is the attire for the conference?
A:

The attire is casual. You may want to bring a sweater or light jacket if you get cold easily.

Q: Will there be any extra fees, or does my registration fee cover everything like meals and snacks?
A:

All meals and snacks are included in your registration fee, so you will not need to purchase any meals. However, if you are a latte loving lady, you may want to bring some extra money to purchase a specialty coffee beverage from the Highlands Cafe. Regular and decaf brewed coffee will be provided free of charge. Additionally, reCreate and special guests' merchandise will be available to purchase.

Q: Do I have to register now, or can I do it at the door?
A:

We encourage you to register as soon as possible so that we can most effectively plan for the conference. However, there will be an opportunity to register the day of reCreate. Registration cost is $70.

Q: Should I come to the conference if I haven't joined the church and haven't completed the Growth Track?
A:

Absolutely! Church membership and completion of the Growth Track are not required to attend the reCreate conference.

Q: I have already attended reCreate in the past, so should I plan to go this year?
A:

Absolutely. We strive to create a new, inspiring, and fun conference experience every year and don't want you to miss out on this time to get away and be encouraged in your relationship with God!

Q: May I invite unchurched friends or friends who do not attend Highlands to the conference?
A:

Please do! The reCreate conference is designed for the women of Highlands and the women in their lives, friends, family, co-workers and neighbors.

Q: What is the typical age range of women that attend a reCreate conference?
A:

We encourage you to bring a Bible, a notebook, and a pen.: Ladies of all ages are welcome! There will be women from every age range that attend, so whether you are 17, 28 or 93 you will feel comfortable. Topics that will be discussed are most appropriate for high school ages and above. Please note that there are Student Ministries retreats designed for junior high students that will be more age-appropriate and topic-specific for them.

Q: Who is the featured speaker?
A:

We are excited to host Christine Caine and Kerri Weems, who will both communicate powerful and inspiring messages at reCreate 2011. For more information about these ladies and their ministries, please check out the "Speakers" tab on this site.

Q: I am excited about the reCreate women's conference! Are there conferences and retreats available for the other members of my family?
A:

Yes! This year we will have our Ignite marriage conference, MOTION student conference, and Catalyst men's conference, as well as a financial planning and LIFE ministry conferences. For more information on those upcoming events, just visit churchofthehighlands.com.

Q: Are there overnight accommodations available?
A:

For the convenience of our ladies that live outside of Birmingham, we have blocked off several rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn at Liberty Park for a special rate of $89 a night. To book a room and access a special rate, please contact the Hilton Garden Inn at 205.503.5220 and inform the reservation rep that you are part of the "Church of the Highlands/reCreate women's conference" block. Each lady will be responsible for her own room reservations and fees.

Q: Where is the reCreate conference located?
A:

We will meet at the Grants Mill Campus in the Main Auditorium.

Q: Will meals be served during the conference, or do I need to provide my own?
A:

Continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday will be served. Additionally, snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the conference.

Q: Are scholarships available to cover a portion of the registration fee?
A:
